On September 12, Dawson Co-op Home & Agro Centre hosted its annual Contractor Expo, and what a fantastic day it was! We welcomed 24 vendors showcasing the latest in tools, building supplies, and more – offering an incredible range of products and services for our valued customers and contractors.

The event was buzzing with energy, as contractors, customers, and students from Northern Lights College's Trades Programs explored the booths. We were thrilled to see so many people come out to learn, connect, and have a great time.

A special shoutout to our amazing vendors who provided fantastic draw prizes. Your contributions added an extra layer of excitement for everyone in attendance! Pictured at right is one of the draw prize winners, Thomas Noll, who won a Bissett Cordless Framing Nailer donated by Bissett.

The day was packed with fun competitions, including the crowd-favorite Hammerschlammer and Screw Off events, both of which were won by the skilled Gardel Baumen. And of course, we can’t forget one of the highlights of the day: the Belt Sander Racing! The competition was fierce, but in the end, it was the inimitable "Colonel Sander," a modified sander supplied by NLC, that sped its way to victory.

Contractor Expo attendees enjoyed a delicious BBQ, staffed by members of the NLC Foundation. Dawson Co-op made a $1,000 donation to the foundation for their work in making the event a success.

Contractor Expo reflects Dawson Co-op’s ongoing commitment to our community. We take pride in supporting local businesses, educational institutions, and initiatives that bring us all together. It’s not just about offering great products and services; it’s about building lasting relationships and giving back to the community that supports us.
